We are pleased to announce that Jannick Kirk Sørensen, representing Fair MusE, will be taking part in the upcoming Music Moves Europe – Structured Dialogue on Music, organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport, and Culture in partnership with the Reeperbahn Festival. The event will take place on Wednesday, 18th September 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Hamburger Ding Rooftop in Hamburg.
The focus of this Dialogue session will be on “Fair Remuneration Strategies in Music Streaming”, a topic that aligns with Fair MusE’s ongoing research into creating a more transparent and equitable music ecosystem in Europe.
The session will begin with an introduction by Detlef Schwarte from Reeperbahn Festival, followed by insights from Susanne Hollmann and Olivier Fontaine of the European Commission. Moderators Hannes Tschürtz and Ivana Dragila will lead participants through an interactive agenda, including a workshop where attendees will divide into groups representing different key stakeholders in the music industry, such as performing artists, composers, labels, DSPs, and consumers.
Jannick’s participation in this key discussion further reflects Fair MusE’s commitment to addressing the challenges of fair remuneration in the digital music space.
