We invite you to join a workshop that the Católica team of Fair MusE (coordinated by Professor Mazziotti) has organised in collaboration with Abreu Advogados.
This workshop will take place on the 14th of May at Abreu’s office (26 Avenida Infante Dom Henrique, 1149-096 Lisbon), from 14:30 to 17:30 PM, and will bring together a panel of lawyers, jurists and experts from the music sector to discuss the impact of European Union legislation on the rights of music creators in Portugal.
This debate is part of an ongoing investigation carried out by researchers from the Fair MusE project in 10 European Union countries, which has already culminated in the launch of the Fair MusE Portal.
Up to 25 participants can register here to attend in person. Join us for a discussion on the impact of EU law on music creators’ rights in Portugal. Our panel of legal and industry experts will delve into the effects of EU Directives on collective rights management and digital music licensing. Speakers include Prof. Giuseppe Mazziotti (Fair MusE Principal Investigator and Coordinator); Laura Matos (Fair MusE Research Associate); Eduardo Simões (GDA – Gestão dos Direitos dos Artistas, Legal Department Director); David Serras Pereira (Unison Rights, Licensing and International Manager); Luís Barreto Xavier, Ricardo Henriques, Manuel Durães Rocha e Margarida Castillo Silva (Abreu Advogados Lawyers).
